Alan Brown

Chief Operating Officer

Early on, Alan attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri as a pre-med student in Electrical Engineering. He then came to his senses. He began his accomplished journey as a professional Artist, Photographer, Creative Director and Entrepreneur. Mr. Brown has amassed double decades of experience in all facets of visual media.

Founder and President of Photonics Graphics, Alan created this successful graphic design, communications and web development company in 1989. His business and entrepreneurial know-how have helped to guide Tulong through the details that come with creating something anew, and his designs put the face on Tulong.

When it comes to pivotal life experiences, Alan mentions two particularly: he became a photographer at the young age of 13, so has had a longtime practice of viewing things in a special way. He also has been a longstanding member and participant in the Boy Scouts of America – earning the selective rank of Eagle Scout in 1971.

This unique combination of experience, vision and commitment has made Alan a perfect partner in the creation of Tulong.

And of course, the Tulong journey is all about giving back. Throughout his life, Alan has always believed in “the greater good.” Alan feels that we all have a responsibility to act, and that our inaction speaks just as loudly. Giving back is a natural – as natural as sustaining the world and its people.

Alan is involved in numerous community programs, including acting as a volunteer executive for International Executive Service Corp. and President, Board of Trustees, for the Cincinnati-Ukraine Partnership (CUP). He graduated in 1979 from Syracuse University with a degree in Communications.
