Mark Heiman
President and Chief Executive Officer
A patent-holding textile innovator, Mark Heiman has spent his career developing and perfecting fabrics and apparel with outstanding results. He has over 30 years of executive experience in the textile and apparel industry.
In Mark’s senior roles as President of Pridecraft Enterprises, a subsidiary of Standard Textile Co. Inc. and Executive Vice President of operations, manufacturing and product development for Standard Textile Co. Inc., he helped establish broad-reaching advantages including the start up of three domestic, and numerous overseas manufacturing facilities. As the lead in the development of numerous product categories, sales of more than $500 million were generated.
Mark is also founder and president of Hei-Source Ltd., a global textile sourcing and manufacturing company.
While living and working overseas, Mark developed multiple suppliers across a mix of emerging countries. His innovation and entrepreneurial drive led him to develop several patents for technical performance fabric.
Social action and “giving back” are foundational tenets upon which Mark has built his life and businesses. Mark’s grandfather instilled in him that those who do good would have a return double in size. His father taught him that it’s not enough to do well; we have the responsibility to do good.
All of his experience, knowledge and deeply held values have led to the creation of this high-performance, sustainable apparel company Tulong LLC, where Mark is CEO. Tulong perfectly blends his passion for social cause and mission with his expertise in fabrics and textiles. Tulong was created to facilitate world changes through sustainability and community investment.
A member and president of multiple community Boards of Trustees, Mark is pleased to be helping to Repair the World. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1978 with a B.S. in Forestry Management.
